EMIRATES AIRWAYS

Hands down the best 160k points we've ever spent. Hunter and I weren't even planning on going to Dubai, but the deal was too good! We'd intended to fly to Amsterdam from Phoenix, but the flight cost us the same amount of points on Delta business class with one stop as it did to fly nonstop in the first class of Emirates to Dubai. We had to take that opportunity! Even if it was nowhere near the right direction.

IT WAS UH MAZE ING.

The flight was about 15 hours, but it honestly could have taken 3 days and I still would have been happy. You get your own little compartment, with doors that close for complete privacy, an insanely comfortable seat that reclines and can be made up into a bed (thin mattress and all), a bowl of snacks, a non-alcoholic mini-bar, a huge TV, and a small vanity mirror with a variety of toiletries. Everything is beautiful, and the flight attendants are extremely pleasant. Before take-off, you are offered Arabic coffee and dates. The menu is off the charts, with appetizers ranging from caviar platters and Dom Perignon, to full mezze platters and old bordeauxs. There is no specific meal time, so you order whenever you'd like to eat. The bathrooms are massive for an airplane lavatory with heated floors, toilet seat covers constantly replaced on the seat, and a shower which you are welcome to schedule a time to use. Hunter and I both took advantage of showering on the plane because, well, you just had to! There is a 5 minute time limit for water so you have to be quick, but other than that it was actually a very nice experience! First and business class are located on the second floor of the plane, and there is a full lounge and bar located in the back. Aside from all of this, the television in your cubicle offers several games, tv shows, and movies so you always have something to do! At one point, Hunter and I were playing multiplayer trivia against each other, the two women seated behind us, and some guy named Matt. There is so much to do, its hard to let yourself go to sleep!

The moral of the story is, if you ever come across a first class Emirates ticket for a decently low amount of points, take it, no matter where it is going! You'll thoroughly enjoy your stay at this five-star resort in the sky.
